Hotel Calanca - Hotel at Marina di Camerota

Relaxed atmosphere and close to the beach

Not far from the sandy beach of lovely Calanca bay and across from the sea lies small, family-run Hotel Calanca. Its appeal lies not only with its location – central, yet quiet, and near the beach – but also with its friendly and affectionate manager Andrea Bifulco. You notice at once that Andrea’s profession is also his passion and that he 'lives' hospitality.

The hotel with its 20 guest rooms is located on a quiet access road to the beach, which is only 100 m off.

Across from the hotel, there is a small promenade, from where you can admire gorgeous sunsets over the sea

The picturesque, traffic-reduced center of Marina di Camerota is only 200 m off. Stroll through narrow alleys to the piazza and share Italian conviviality and joie de vivre at the small cafés and bars.

Charming hotel at Marina di Camerota

The hotel features a restaurant, a bar, a room for venues and a lift. The swimming pool in the outdoor area is open from mid April to end October (changes due to weather conditions possible). There are also facilities for playing boccia, pool and table tennis.

The spaciously laid-out terrace above the pool serves as the restaurant's outdoor area and offers a wonderful view of the sea, which makes dining there a delight.

Furnishing of the rooms is plain, but functional; each room includes a balcony with sea view and a bathroom with shower cabin, WC and bidet.  Each room also features a small refrigerator, LED TV, air conditioning with integrated heating, safe and free Wi-Fi.

Excellent local cuisine

The hotel’s cuisine places emphasis on Cilento specialties, but offers delicious regional and national dishes, too. It is clearly marked and characterized by the Dieta Mediterranea. Vegetarians, too, get their money’s worth at Hotel Calanca. Tastings of local specialties take place at the hotel at regular intervals.

In the morning, a breakfast buffet offers sweet as well as hearty food and fresh fruit. In the evening, there is a multicourse menu and you can choose between two dishes per course (primo and secondo).

Cycle-friendly accommodation

In spring 2014, Hotel Calanca received an award according to the international standard for bicycle-friendly accommodations.

This means that all those who love cycling can be sure of certain amenities at this accommodation, such as secure storage for their bicycles, basic equipment of tools for repairs and also detailed information about and maps of the routes.

Further offers: guided bike tours and for early birds a rich, individually tailored breakfast, even before 'official' breakfast hours.

Upon request, the owners provide bicycles for your excursions into the environs.

Nearest train station: Pisciotta-Palinuro (ca. 19 km). Pick-up from the train station or from Naples airport can be organized.

Toller Urlaub.
