It was their interest in the history of Italy that made the owning couple think of a very special name for their restored rustico.
The name "Villa due Sicilie" is based on the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, which existed about 200 years ago. It encompassed the island of Sicily and the southern regions of the Italian mainland, which also included the Cilento region. Up to the time Italy was unified it was the largest of the Italian kingdoms.
The villa at Pisciotta-Caprioli offers comfort and fantastic views. Behind the holiday home, the hilly, green mountain landscape unfolds before your eyes; the view from your terrace opens upon the Tyrrhenian Sea ca. 2.5 km off with Capo Palinuro to your left.
The sea view villa is located on a 5000 m², partly fenced property with garden.
You enter the holiday home into the living-/dining room with SAT-TV, fireplace and kitchen area. The latter is furnished with 4-burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, espresso machine, toaster, bread cutter and juicer.
In the room you simply feel at ease; on cool spring and autumn evenings you feel cozy with a fire crackling in the fireplace.
Each of the two double bedrooms on the first floor has got an en suite bathroom with shower, WC, bidet and hair dryer. One of the bedrooms offers a fantastic view of the sea and the Cape of Palinuro, the view from the other bedroom gives you an impression of the Cilento's vast mountain landscape.
Pick your favorite spot in the garden around the holiday home, where holm oaks, fruit and olive trees grow.
Make yourself comfortable, maybe with your holiday read, on the terrace with sun beds and garden furniture. It is a perfect spot for relaxing. In between you can cool off under the outdoor shower, which is at your disposal from April to October. In the evening you might prepare some delicacies on the grill, which is also found on the terrace.
Furnishing of the villa includes washing machine, SAT-TV, radio, CD player, central heating, grill and outdoor shower (April – October).
Parking is available on the premises.
The center of Caprioli with supermarket and butchery is only 400 m off.
It is 2.5 km to the sandy beach of „Saline“. Parking is available there.
Caprioli is part of the comune of Pisciotta, an idyllic mountain village only about 4 km from the villa. Linger for a while in the village square and savor a cup of delicious cappuccino – we are sure Southern Italian village life will appeal to you.
Our recommendation: Visit the market at Pisciotta, which takes place on Wednesday mornings.
Hiking tip: Hiking to the light house at Cape Palinuro rewards you with fantastic views across the Cilento landscape and the sea.
