Marina di Pisciotta is a tranquil fishing village located on the Cilento’s picturesque coast.
Time in the small town with its golden brown houses has not stood still, but it does seem to pass more slowly. Heavily loaded, old three-wheeled Apes rattle through the narrow alleys, small fishing boats lie drowsily in the harbor and the locals meet for a café at the nearest bar and gaze out to sea.
It is on the outskirts of this romantic small place, on the premises of a former farm, among old olive trees and just 100 m away from the steep coast that our holiday accommodation Casa Giulietta is located.
This lovely small house with its quarry stone façade so typical for the region blends wonderfully into the landscape.
The holiday home, which was built in 2014, is bright and roomy.
From the spacious roofed terrace you enjoy a marvelous view of the Mediterranean Sea.
Here, your holidays will be a very special experience!
As Casa Giulietta is a spaciously laid-out and accommodates up to 8 persons, you might spend your holidays there with your whole family or with friends and acquaintances.
There are three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin beds. Upon request, two more beds can be provided.
The bright kitchen-and-dining area is open towards the living area and its deep blue tiles are a real eye-catcher. The kitchenette is equipped with 4-burner gas stove, oven and refrigerator with freezer compartment.
In the living area, there is a cozy sitting area with sofa and SAT-TV.
Each of the two bathrooms is equipped with shower cabin, WB and bidet.
The holiday home offers an extensive outdoor area.
Watch the sun disappear into the sea while having dinner together on the roofed terrace.
Relax on the sun loungers in the garden and enjoy your 'bath' in the Southern Italian sun.
Casa Giulietta is furnished with a washing machine, SAT-TV and a grill.
You can park your car in a private parking space on the premises.
Bars, restaurants and a small grocery store are found at Marina di Pisciotta, 1.5 km off.
It is 5 minutes by car to the main town of Pisciotta. If you don’t mind the ascent, you can take the foot path to the mountain village.
There is a narrow footpath to the lovely beach of Marina di Pisciotta; the walking distance is about 800 m. Below the steep coast, only about 100 m from Casa Giulietta, there is, depending on the sea state, a narrow bathing spot which is accessible via a stepped path (2020 not available).
Capo Palinuro (Cape of Palinuro) is absolutely worth an excursion.
With sheer drops of up to 80 m, the rocks of the cape fall steeply to the sea below; in between you find wildly romantic bathing bays which, with few exceptions, can only be reached by boat.
During a boat trip you have also got the chance to visit the caves which open towards the sea.
The best-known is Grotta Azzurra. Via an underwater tunnel, daylight makes its way into the grotto from below, hence the intense blue of the water.
Nearest train station: Pisciotta-Palinuro (ca. 4,5 km).
