This extraordinary property in an old olive grove on Monte di Luna is found in remarkably exposed location above the old Saracen tower "Zincalo" and the sea. The view from up there is often found on picture postcards and in photo-books.
The property’s communal terrace with stone pizza oven is an especially good spot from where to enjoy the magnificent view of the sea and of Marina di Camerota to the full. From there, it is only 100 m along a small footpath to Torre Zincalo and the azure blue sea stretching out below it.
A 400 m walk takes you to the sandy beach of Lentiscelle below Monte di Luna. And, the coastal hiking trail, which starts on Monte di Luna, takes you to the idyllic bathing bays of Pozzallo, Cala Bianca and Baia Infreschi.
Apart from separate guest house Casetta Zincalo, Villa Zincalo with its three apartments is also located on the sloping premises. During vacation time, one of these apartments is used by the owners, who live in Rome.
Casetta Zincalo has got a private access. The house includes a combined kitchen-living-dining room with SAT-TV, a double room with air conditioning and heating function, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower cabin and WC. An extra WC is accessible from the double bedroom.
Both the combined kitchen-living-dining room and the double bedroom open onto the spacious, roofed terrace. There is even an old (closed) well on the terrace.
The charming, tall olive trees, which grow close up to the terraces, make for a special atmosphere on the premises.
Apart from your private terrace at the house, you can use the partly roofed communal terrace with stone pizza oven as well as the small kitchen in this area (e.g. to prepare your pizza).
A parking space for your car is available on the fenced premises.
The town center of Marina di Camerota with shops, supermarkets, bars and great restaurants is about 2.4 km from the house. Should you be interested in the Slow Food movement, then do stop by Davide Mea’s small Taverna del Mozzo at the harbor for lunch or dinner.
Important: The access road to the Casetta is a country lane of about 200 m, which branches off the paved residents-only road and ends at the villa.
Marina di Camerota lies in the core zone of the Cilento. Excursions to the north as well as to the south are rather easy. In the south, you can admire the magnificent cliff line near Maratea, for example; in the north of the Cilento, you meet with highlights such as the small mountain town of Castellabate (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the famous ancient Greek temples of Paestum.
