Holiday home in idyllic location at marine nature park Punta Licosa

Villino Dora lies surrounded by fragrant, ancient Aleppo pines and is found in idyllic location in marine nature park Punta Licosa. The holiday home is only a short walk from the charming, natural coast of the park. There are quite a number of bathing spots and the small island Isola Licosa is always within view. Legend has it that Odysseus sailed past this place, seemingly unimpressed by the Sirens’ songs.

Between the village of Ogliastro Marina and Punta Licosa, a narrow hiking trail runs along the seaside. The marine nature park is preferably explored and discovered on foot or by bike.

The Cilento's untouched mountainous landscape with only scattered houses clinging to the slopes stretches out a bit off the holiday home, the towns of Ogliastro Marina and San Marco di Castellabate (4 km and 5 km off) are located nearby.

Between Castellabate and the sea

Via the spacious, roofed terrace you enter Villino Dora into the kitchen-living-dining room, which includes oven, 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator with freezer compartment as well as dining furniture for 5 and a sofa.

Next to the kitchen, there is a twin bedroom. From the hallway you enter the bathroom with shower cabin, WC and bidet. The second bedroom, with double bed and a view of the garden, is found at the end of the hallway.

The terrace is furnished with a table, chairs and deck chairs. The garden surrounding the holiday home is rather large: relax and take a sunbath or unpack the badminton set you might have taken along and give it a go.

Furnishing of the holiday home includes WLAN, TV, outdoor shower, air conditioning and washing machine. Parking is available on the completely fenced (dog-proof!) premises.

Hiking and beach holidays in the Cilento National Park

You can go for a swim in the sea either at the natural coast of Punta Licosa, which is a 450 m walk off, or at the beautiful sandy beaches of the neighboring towns of San Marco and Santa Maria di Castellabate and Ogliastro Marina. You could take one of the bikes the owner provides for a fee to go there.

For those who fancy small, authentic mountain villages Villino Dora might be the right place, too. The small town of Castellabate, UNESCO World Heritage listed and also well-know due to the movie „Welcome to the South“, is located nearby. Monte Licosa and Punta Tresino are destinations for hiking tours, which lie so-to-speak at your house door. 

In the immediate surroundings

Stores, bars and restaurants are found at Ogliastro Marina, which it takes you only a few minutes to reach by car, as well as at San Marco di Castellabate. At San Marco, restaurants "K" and "Quasi in Porto" are, in general, open year-round. And do stop by Caffetteria-Pasticceria Torretta at the entrance to San Marco di Castellabate – the sweet pastries there are hard to resist. They also offer a good aperitivo with a small buffet of appetizers.

Please mind: The nature park at Punta Licosa is not open to general traffic but to residents only. As there is no public means of transport to or from the marine nature park, a car is recommended. Rental cars are available at Santa Maria. Do not hesitate to ask us for arrangement with the local rental car company Antares '91.
