There are those special moments when you get the feeling that time has stood still at Pisciotta. The small village in the midst of the Cilento region is just the way many people imagine Southern Italy to be - friendly, lively and a bit sleepy at the same time, unhurried and somehow down-to-earth. 

Day in, day out you see familiar faces in the piazza and the bars. Strangers or visitors are quickly admitted into the small village community, where people know each other and greet each other, where, at the bar, while savoring a cappuccino and a cornetto, the discussion about the football match of the evening before is accompanied by lively gesticulating. 

And in the midst of all that, in the winding, car-free terraced alleys of the medieval village, lies Casa Anna. Standing on the balcony of the small holiday apartment you are overcome by a feeling of tranquility and relaxation and you are amazed by the wonderful view of the Tyrrhenian Sea.  

Holidays between mountains and sea 

As Casa Anna has a separate entrance, you feel like living in a detached house. The holiday apartment covers two floors.

The ground floor includes a double bedroom with en-suite WC as well as the live-and-eat-in kitchen with SAT-TV, sofa and access of the sea view balcony. Sitting in the sun or in the shade of the parasol enjoying a glass of red wine, your gaze drifts over silvery-green olive groves towards the sea.

The bathroom and a twin bedroom are located on the first floor. The bathroom is equipped with a small corner bathtub with shower device, WC and bidet. Casa Anna is also furnished with a washing machine, air conditioning and WLAN; the windows and the door onto the balcony are furnished with fly screens. A children's bed can be provided upon request.

The clean, turquoise blue sea is not far from the mountain village of Pisciotta. It is a lovely, ca. 1 km hike downhill through olive groves and the small fishing village of Marina di Pisciotta to the pebble/sandy beach – or a short drive by car.

Authentic village life at Pisciotta

Stay at Casa Anna, in contemplative location in the medieval village center, yet not far from the piazza and Italian village life, and experience the Cilento. 

Pisciotta is picturesquely situated on a hill on the coastal road from Palinuro to Ascea. In the narrow terraced alleys with palazzi and houses dating from the 16th century, you experience real Italian village life. In spite of its location close to the sea, the village is not overrun by tourists; centuries-old customs and traditions are preserved and kept alive there. 

Grocery stores and bars are found around the village piazza (Piazza Pinto) as well as along the main road, where you also find a cash dispenser and the post office. A weekly market takes place in the piazza every Wednesday. 

Restaurants I tre Gufi and Osteria del Borgo are located in the village center. I tre Gufi is, in general, open daily from March/April to the beginning of November. Treat yourself to a refreshing Aperol Spritz on its large sea view terrace in the early evening. Cin cin!
