"Torre delle Viole", one of the many medieval Saracen towers along the Cilento coast, has lent its name to the tasteful holiday apartments at Marina di Camerota.
The location of the apartments in green surroundings, in a hardly frequented cul-de-sac, is ideal: The fine sandy beach is at a walking-distance of only 100 m; if you take the small path from the premises of Villa Torre delle Viole to Calanca beach it is even shorter.
Water bugs are sure to enjoy swimming in the nearby sea. There is, however, also a swimming pool with sun terrace, which is open to all the guests of the Villa (and shared with Villa Maricarmen). You can use a sauna and a fitness room on the premises, too.
The nearest bars, restaurants and shops are only 200 m off and it is hardly any farther to lovely piazza San Domenico.
When planning the house, the owners of Villa Torre delle Viole, Maricarmen, a teacher, and Nicola, an architect, paid heed not only to the villa’s location but also to keeping the architectural design of the residence in harmony with the landscape.
Furnishing of the holiday apartments, four with one bedroom (type B) and four with two bedrooms (type A), is modern, of high quality and tasteful.
The wonderful evenings you spend on the holiday apartments' spacious balconies (all facing the sea; most with sea view) are accompanied by the sounds of the sea and the songs of the cicadas.
Should it be too cool to sit outside, make yourself comfortable inside the apartment (fitted kitchen, table/chairs, daybed, TV, W-LAN, air conditioning with integrated heating). Each apartment has a bathroom with shower, WC and bidet.
There is a washing machine for shared use by the guests of the holiday apartments.
Parking is available on the fenced premises.
Marina di Camerota, 6 km from the medieval town of Camerota, has remained a lively Southern Italian fishing village.
The bars are still the meeting points of half of the village population, in the evenings people stroll along the well-tended promenade at the harbor.
In the narrow alleys you meet, every now and then, old women and men with their donkeys, which are burdened with purchases or firewood.
Marina di Camerota is one of the most beautiful coastal towns in the Cilento; for this reason it is very popular in Italy and quite frequented during the Italian holiday months of July and August.
This accommodation has been certified according to the international standard for bicycle-friendly accommodations.
This means that all those who love cycling can be sure of certain amenities at the accommodation, such as secure storage for their bicycles, basic equipment of tools for repairs and also detailed information about and maps of the routes.
Nearest train stations: Pisciotta-Palinuro (ca. 19 km) and Centola (ca. 13 km)

A deposit of € 100 is due upon arrival.
Use of heating is charged onsite with a weekly lump sum of 50 EURO for type A and 40 EURO for type B.
Use of air conditioning: € 10/ day.
Pool open: 15.05.-23.10.2021 (changes due to weather conditions possible).
Sauna and fitness room: at an extra charge.
Parasols and sunbeds for Calanca Beach can be rented from the owners of Villa Torre delle Viole.
Pick-up from Centola train station is possible at an extra charge.
