If you spend your holidays at Villa Milly, the fishing village of San Marco di Castellabate in all its beauty is at your feet. To the south, lies Punta Licosa, a place shrouded in legend, to the north, famous Castellabate rises proudly towards the skies.
The sparkling blue sea at this coastal stretch is within reach. An idyllic sandy bay is only about 150 m off. Even the lovely piazzetta of San Marco is merely a stone’s throw away.
This central location is not the only asset of Villa Milly, though. The owning family, who, in the early post war years, set the first impulse regarding tourism in San Marco, has put all its experience into the design of this house, which was built in 2013. Thus, Villa Milly has become a comfortable retreat for couples, families and friends, a place where you can spend any kind of holiday.
The large and well-tended garden surrounding the house is a particular feel-good factor. Besides cozy spots under tall pine and olive trees, it offers access of the alley leading directly to the beach of San Marco di Castellabate. A bit off on the premises, hidden by trees and behind a small wall, lies the residence of the owners, your friendly and courteous hosts.
The ca. 80 m² of Villa Milly include a double and a twin bedroom, two bathrooms, a spacious and well equipped kitchenette as well as a large living-dining area.
Some pieces of furniture, for example the solid wooden dining table as well as the double bed, have been family property for a very long time and provide for a special, individual touch. Some smaller details of the interior furnishing bear witness to the landlord’s deep bonds with the sea and the traditions of the fishing village of San Marco.
Villa Milly offers two furnished terraces, one accessible from the two adjoining bedrooms. In the morning, you can enjoy the day’s first rays of sunlight and the view of Castellabate enthroned above the coast.
The larger terrace is accessible from the bright and airy living area, which is furnished with a sofa and TV. Besides, there is a fireside in case evenings get cooler. The inside as well as the outside offer space for cozy dinners, for sitting back and relaxing.
The bathrooms lie next to each other and are equipped with shower cabin and WC each. One offers an extra bidet.
Villa Milly provides all the comfort for easy-going holidays. The kitchen includes a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a 4-burner gas stove, an oven and a coffee machine. You can store clothes and other things in the fitted wardrobes in the double bedroom and the hallway.
Furthermore, the villa includes a safe, a washing machine, air conditioning, barbecue and an outdoor shower. For very young guests a cot can be provided upon request.
You can park your car along the road (cul-de-sac) at the main entrance to the fenced premises.
For those who prefer 'car-free' holidays Villa Milly might be the right holiday accommodation. Stores, alimentari, restaurants and bars are within an easy walking distance of ca. 200 m.
The strikingly beautiful bathing beaches of San Marco di Castellabate are also very close. If you are keen on a morning „tuffo“ – i.e. a plunge into the water – you need only walk about 150 m.
You might also take an idyllic walk to spacious sandy Pozzillo beach along a beautifully laid out path which starts near you holiday home. Between pine trees, cactuses and the gentle sounds of the sea Cilento nature comes as a delight for all your senses.
Book a table at Ristorante SU! High above the piazzetta, from June through September, you enjoy a unique view across the rooftops of San Marco di Castellabate and the seemingly endless sea. As the restaurant does not open until the evening, it also offers a prime seat for enjoying a perfect sunset.
You can watch Gianfranco, the chef, create light and simple dishes of the Cilento cuisine. Homemade pasta is served with fresh fish or meat from the grill. Combined with exquisite olive oil, sun-ripened tomatoes and fresh lemons, his recipes are pure poetry.
