On the edge of Acciaroli's center, in a small, idyllic park with private holiday homes, surrounded by fragrant jasmine, lies lovely and well-tended Villa Gialloris. It is about 150 m, via a small cross street, which is for pedestrians only, to the center of the fishing village with its characteristic quarry stone facades.
And only a little further on, there are the clean sandy beaches of Acciaroli, which, in summer, regularly fly the Blue Flag – a sign for the excellent bathing quality at this coastal section. It was this combination of idyll and close vicinity to restaurants, shops and beaches which drew the owning family from Avellino to Acciaroli during the summer months every year.
Via a cozy, partly roofed terrace with a beautiful sitting area you reach the entrance to Villa Gialloris. The open-plan room on the ground floor of the terrace house includes the living-dining area as well as the cooking area. The well equipped built-in kitchen includes a stove (gas and electric burners), an oven and a microwave, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a washing machine and a dish washer.
A door near the kitchen area opens onto another terrace, which is also furnished and screened from view. It is a nice place for a leisurely start into the day with a good cup of coffee or to let the day fade away while savoring a Mediterranean dinner and a glass of wine.
Furnishing of the living-dining area includes a table and four chairs as well as a sofa bed and Sat-TV. There is a staircase from the living area to the upper floor, where the two bedrooms and the bathroom are located.
The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a closet and two chests of drawers. The second bedroom is furnished with a sofa bed as well as a wardrobe and offers access of a small balcony, which looks out onto the small inner courtyard at the back of the house.
The bathroom of the holiday home is equipped with WC, bidet and shower cabin. In the outdoor area of Villa Gialloris, you find an outdoor shower at your disposal.
The premises of the small park include a parking lot where you can park your car.
The location of Villa Gialloris within walking distance of shopping facilities, restaurants, bars and the beach might be particularly attractive to families with children. Grocery stores and Acciaroli’s lovely centro storico are only about 150 m off; the harbor with its countless small and colorful fishing boats is about 300 m off.
Somewhat apart from the harbor, a gorgeous sandy beach bay offers gently sloping access into the sea. In summer, part of this beach is with service.
At Acciaroli, fishing has always been a tradition, a tradition which is still very much alive today. Local restaurants, where fresh-caught fish and delicious seafood pasta are served almost every day, offer a colorful and varied cuisine. One of these restaurants belongs to red-headed Antonio Vassallo, thus its name „Il Rosso e il Mare“. Antonio is also a fisherman and – he is one of the few fishermen of the Cilento, who still use the old Menaica method to catch and process anchovies. You should not miss out on tasting the Alici di Menaica at „Il Rosso e il Mare“.
