Festival degli antichi suoni - Festival of ancient sounds
The festival of ancient sounds is allways appreciated because of its music and the atmosphere it gives. There will be played and heard those sounds that accompanied the people in the south in the last cebturies and that shouldn't get lost for future generations. Stands will gibe the opportunity to try and buy the traditional music instruments as well as other local traditional handcraft.
In the evenings on the piazzas and in the streets of  the historical centre in Novi Velia.

Concerto di Gala alla Certosa di Padula - Gala concertin the Carthusian abbey of Padula
The famous monastery of Padula is venue for the third edition of the "Saxophon Masters". Top of the event is the gala concert on Sunday 4th of September with M° J.Y.Fourmeau and its "Hot Saxophone Quartet".

Free entry for great music on this evening in the archeologicál zone of Paestum. Master and violonist Uto Ughi will conduct the philharmonical orchestra of Rome.; topic "recount of the stones". The programm contents owrks of Johann Sebastian Bach, Pugnani, Kresler, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Paganini.

La Frecagnola a Cannalonga - Goat festival at Cannalonga
During those five days Cannalonga transforms to a meeting of folcloric groups, music events, expositions and spectacles about history, customs and traditions, and of course of regional gastronomic specialities i.a. from products of the "frecagnola" (special kind of goat).
The spectacle starts every evening about 8 p.m.

With the end of the summer season a last time Maratea offers a tasting of regional specialities: This time it's wine tasting of the Grottino di Roccanova. Its grapes grow in the Agri valley with Roccanova as its wine city. It's a perfect addition for the famous "dieta mediterrana".

Maracucciata
Those two days are dedicated to produce and taste the Maracucciata. Main ingredient is flour of Maracuccio, a traditional kind of cereal, similar looking to pies. in ancient times it was a common corn for the farmers, now it almost disapeared only to slowly come back again with the new food movement like slow food.

Crudelia, Silvio, Ron, Alluvione, Vivara, FU, Giuseppina, Tina, Alone, Faraway, Scaricata, Nick, Eugenio, Pontina, Ulisse2 - these are the names of the big see turtles that will, equipped with a signal, will be let free again. Crudelia and her friends had been found injured and not able to live any more on their own (most of them ate plastic) and pampered in the rehab centre l'Acquario "Anton Dohrn" at Naples. Now they shall live ans swim on their own again. With the help of the signal their route can be traced daily on the website seaturtle.org.

Marina si fa bella! - Marina gets pretty!
On September 16th representants of the community, assoociations as well as citizens met together with the italian environmental association Legambiente to work out a project that's called "Clean up the World".
With the topic "Marina gets pretty" all volunteers are invited from September 23rd - 25th to participate in the cleaning campaign for a cleaner Marina di Camerota.
