The calendar of events will be offered from April to October 2011 and will be updated every week. Each following month will be published a few days before the end of the current month.

Raduno Internazionale delle Mongolfiere - International hot-air-baloon meeting
For the third time this meeting takes place in Paestum. Daily different balloons will be prepaired and further Fridays and the weekends there is a programme with music and the possibility to balloon by night!

Sulle orme di Parmenide - MTB-race at Velia
Start of the race is Marina di Ascea at Piazza Europa at 09:30 a.m. End of the race is Velia, where will take place the award ceremony. Two routes can be taken; 35 kilometres or 25 kilometres.

Biodiversamente, Museo a porte aperte - Biodiversity, open day of the museum
At this weekend the museum "Vivo del Mare" (Living in the sea) as well as the biodiversity photo exhibition can be visited for free.

Festa della pizza - Pizza festival
Quality is the key word for this weekend. It can be experienced and tasted at the pizza festival: offered will be exquisite pizza "al forno", fresh from the stone oven.
To close the evening take part at karaoke and join the good music for a dance.

Festa della Castagna - Feast of chestnuts
Chestnuts feast at Stio Cilento. During four days typical meals can be tasted and enjoyed, all out of chestnuts from the surrounding forrests.

Festa della patata - potato festival
In the historical centre of Castelcivita the potato feast takes place again. Enjoy typical meals made with potatos as well as other regional delicacies. Rounded up by local wine and good music - join in!

Thursday: Agropoli (Piazza Mercato), Capaccio-Paestum (at the church of San Vito), Marina di Ascea (At the Lungomare), Omignano, Palinuro (Corso Carlo Pisacane; only every 2nd Thursday.)
Friday: Marina di Camerota (at the harbour; only every 2nd Fr.), Marina di Casalvelino (Piazzale del Porto)
Saturday: Maratea (Piazza Europa, every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month), Santa Maria di Castellabate (Piazza Matarazzo)

The markets normally take place in the morning between 07:00 and 13:00.
From mid June to end of August in Camerota every Wednesday evening a market with products typical for the region takes place (groceries and crafts).
