Your Bed & Breakfast in the Cilento

The Bed & Breakfast Giostell, opened in 2008 and located in Marina di Camerota (Cilento), was recommended to us by an Italian acquaintance.

When we visited this Bed & Breakfast during our next trip to the Cilento, we felt immediately at home with the very friendly owner.

Like many Camerotani, Signora Claudia was born and raised in Venezuela. But “per l’amore e la famiglia”, she returned to the Cilento and revived the residence which was run as a bed & breakfast inn by her aunt as early as the 1960ies. Bed & Breakfast Giostell is named after the owner’s two daughters, Giorgia and Stella. Signora Claudia’s motto is: “Arrive and feel at ease.”

Bed & Breakfast Giostell (Cilento) is located on the Previteri hills, somewhat above the town centre of Marina di Camerota.

The town centre with its nice small stores, café-bars and restaurants is at a walking distance of only ca. 400 m. A walk of ca. 800 m will take you to the wonderful and gently sloping sandy beach of Calanca. The nearest shopping facilities are ca. 100 m from your Bed & Breakfast.

The all in all five guest rooms are located on the first floor and are tastefully furnished.

The Arte-Povera-style furnishing and the harmonious colouring create a romantically cosy atmosphere. An en suite bathroom with shower/bidet/WC as well as TV and air conditioning with integrated heating system are standard features. Each room offers enough space for an additional bed.

The special feature of guest room “Verde”, which we have decided upon, is its large sea view terrace. It is here that you can go through your holiday experiences and make plans for the following days while enjoying a glass of Cilento red wine and taking in the view across the rooftops of Marina di Camerota towards the sea.

Guest room “Rosa” has two outdoor sitting areas, a small sea view balcony and a roofed terrace. This room as well as the guest rooms “Gialla” (with terrace), “Blu” and “Arancio” (two additional beds possible) can be arranged for upon request.

You can have your breakfast either on the roofed terrace which is surrounded by fruit trees or in the lounge area within the house. These common rooms are located on the ground floor of the Bed & Breakfast. The second floor is inhabited by the owners.

There is a reserved parking place for your car in front of the house.
