Upon a hill, surrounded by Mediterranean macchia, the modern Villa Sofia lies like a broad winged bird above the sea. Its two ample balconies offer a magnificent view of the open sea and the Cape of Palinuro.
The 5 km sandy beach of Saline is only 900 m away. You reach the villa by a narrow road for residents only.
The villa has a living space of about 130 sqm. In its left “wing”, there are two bedrooms (double bed and two single beds); in the right “wing”, another bedroom (two single beds) and the kitchen are located.
The kitchen is equipped with a curved, modern built-in kitchen. The bedrooms and the kitchen all have access to the balcony.
In the centre of the villa, there is - lowered by half a storey - the 40 sqm living room, which is open towards the kitchen.
The two bathrooms in the house are equipped with shower and bath tub, respectively.
Additional features: washing machine and TV.
On the piazza you will find grocery stores and bars, a cash dispenser and the post office are also nearby.
To be recommended is the restaurant "Tre Gufi" ("Three Tawny Owls") which offers not only delicious dishes (the pizza is superb... ) but - from the foot of the grand palazzo, the highest point of the village - also a splendid view of the sea.
You can reach the beach of Marina di Pisciotta by following a footpath (1 km) or the road (3 km). The medieval alleys of Pisciotta are off limits to cars or motorcycles. This fact will grant you perfect calmness and relaxtion.
Sufficient possibilities for parking can be found around the centre.
Your sporting activities: Swimming, diving, riding, hiking, mountain biking, tennis etc.
Nearest train station: Pisciotta-Palinuro.
You may park your car on the lockable property next to the house.
The nearest grocery stores are found in Caprioli, a small subdivision of Pisciotta, about 1 km from the house. The nearest restaurant is 700 m away.
On the coastal road from Palinuro to Velia, the medieval village of Pisciotta is picturesquely situated on a hill above the Mediterranean Sea. Walking the narrow alleys and stairways with their palazzos and houses dating form the 16th century, you will experience the unique atmosphere of real Italian village life.
In spite of its closeness to the sea, Pisciotta has been spared the side effects of tourism, customs and traditions which are hundreds of years old are kept alive.
