Restored rustico
Restored rustico: Villino Torone houses three guests.

Upon the green hills between Agropoli and Paestum, in amazing panoramic location, the  country estate Casale Torone was built at the end of the 19th century. Roberto Pisani, who has extravagantly restored the stone main structure with the adjoining guest house Villino Torone, does not enthuse himself about the romantic sunsets for nothing, when the sun disappears in gleaming colours behind the soft hillcrests into the sea.

The sandy beach at Agropoli is reached after only a couple of minutes’ drive, within 5 km distance. The famous temples of Paestum are about 10 km away.

The guest house Villino Torone is located separately on the right side above the main building.

Villino Torone is situated separately above the main building. It is laid out for two adults and a child.

The interior of the holiday home is shaped mainly by beautiful massive wooden furniture, which underlines the compassionate, rural flair.
Walls of half a metre provide for comfortable temperatures even in summer.

The small, typical stone house (‘rustico’) offers a tastefully furnished kitchen-cum-living room with sleeping couch (only suitable for children), a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower/WC/bidet.

amazing location
In amazing panoramic location: The Torone property is located only 5 km from the sandy beach at Agropoli and 10 km from the famous Greek temples of Paestum.

From the kitchen-cum-living room you have access to the roofed terrace. Here you may really enjoy the ‘vita cilentana’, with a marvellous view to the sea and a bottle of red wine. The gaze wanders across the gulf of Salerno to the Amalfi coast, all the way to the island of Capri.

In the main building a washing machine is at the shared disposal of all guests.

The 8,000 sqm property is home to a large variety of plants, e.g. olive and fruit trees.

Your car may be parked on the property.

Those who set value on healthy localy produced food are quite on the right spot. The owner, Mr. Roberto Pisani cultivates fruits and vegetables without use of pesticides or chemical fertilizer. He further produces bread of natural sourdough and offers selfmade jam and biological oil as well as wine. All those delicacies can be tried and of course also buied on site. On demand Signor Pisani will be happy to arrange contact to the local shepherd who sells his selfmade sheep cheese.

Our tips for excursions into the closer surroundings: Agropoli, Paestum, Castellabate and the Calore gorge of Felitto.

Paestum, which is often called the “Gate to the Cilento”, is an excellent starting point for excursions to sights of cultural interest, such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, Velia or Padula.

And the Cilento national park with its picturesque mountain and fishing villages is located right at its doorstep.

From the fifth century BC on, two important centres of Greek culture were to be found along the coast of the Cilento: Poseidonia, later to become Paestum, and Elea, present-day Velia.

Even today, you can visit three extremely well preserved Greek temples; It was only in 1968 that the "Tomb of the Diver" was discovered – its five frescoes bearing significant testimony to antique artistry.
