When translated, Casa Nido means “the small nest” – and for couples it is indeed a charming lodging.
The two-person-apartment with sea-view terrace has only recently been completely renovated and lovingly furnished by the sympathetic owners. It is situated amidst the stairway maze of the medieval centro storico
From your holiday apartment you reach within only a few metres the little shops, restaurants and café bars of the village. Recommendation: Make the “Italian breakfast test”: Which bar serves the best cappuccino and the tastiest cornetto?
To the beach (partly sand, partly pebbles) of Marina di Pisciotta you take a beautiful hiking trail of about 1 km.
The eat-in-kitchen with modern built-in kitchen and a French balcony is visually separated from the sleeping area by a balustrade. Here you find everything you need to prepare delicious holiday dishes.
From the sleeping area you have access to the roof terrace. The ceiling with wooden beams creates a beautiful atmosphere, a couch invites you to relax.
Your new bathroom is equipped with shower/bidet/WC.
Because the holiday apartment is located in the stairway alleys of the “centro storico” it is not accessible by car. Public parking lots are found around the town centre
Be enchanted by Pisciotta! Clocks seem to move a little more slowly here. Children play happily in the car-free alleys of the centro storico, old men discuss world and village events in the café bars, countrywomen carry fruit and vegetables to the piazza on Wednesday, the market day, bargain with the housewives and exchange news.
The priest, Don Franco, from time to time invites his altar servers to pizza and the solemnly celebrated Sunday Mass is truly worth a visit.
To be recommended, is the Ristorante e Pizzeria "Tre Gufi" ("Three Tawny Owls"), which offers a splendid view of the sea from its terrace at the foot of the grand palazzo, the highest point of the village (… the pizza is superb!).
Pisciotta is also an ideal location should you want to go on hiking tours in the Cilento.
