Tasteful holiday apartment at Pioppi

Furnished with care and style, the holiday apartment located directly at the deep blue sea of the Cilento offers comfortable living on two floors and a spacious outdoor area on two terraces.
The narrow beach (partly sand, partly rock) runs the length of the whole town and directly in front of your holiday apartment. For years, Pioppi has been awarded the Bandiera Blu for best water quality.
The picturesque seaside resort of Pioppi – located in the heart of the Cilento National Park – offers what a vacationer's heart desires: a flower-bedecked piazza, cafés and restaurants.
The holiday apartment:
A few steps up take you up to the apartment which covers two floors. It includes a living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen.
The spacious living room is furnished with SAT-TV and a fireside which provides for pleasant warmth on spring and autumn evenings. Furthermore, the living area offers a dining table as well as a cosy sitting area with rattan furniture where you can gather for games in the evenings or simply relax.
The living room opens upon the lower, furnished sea view terrace with awning from where you have got direct access of the sea. There are also outdoor showers.
The eat-in kitchen with its 4-burner gas stove, oven with grill, dish washer and refrigerator with freezer compartment is also on the lower floor.
A wooden staircase takes you to the upper floor with the bedrooms, the bathroom and another terrace.

The bathroom is equipped with shower, WC and bidet. There is another bathroom off the lower terrace.
Furnishing:
The washing machine in a storage room next to the holiday apartment is for common use by you and the people living on the ground floor.
There is reserved parking for your car next to the entrance.
Surroundings:
Nearest train station: Ascea or Vallo della Lucania.
The nearest shopping facilities as well as bars and restaurants are about 100 m off.
Tips for hikers and those interested in culture:
Pioppi is an ideal starting point for hiking tours, e.g. to Póllica, one of the nicest places in the western part of the Cilento. Following the valley of Mortelle, passing kitchen gardens, vineyards and fruit groves, you enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of the Gulf of Ascea, the ancient ruins of Vélia and Capo Palinuro. You pass olive groves and cross fragrant macchia when finally descending to Acciaroli, from where busses take you back to Pioppi.
It is only a few kilometres to the old Greek town of Velia.
The place is also known for the excavations of the Greek town of Elea (today: Velia), which dates back to the 6th century BC.
Elea had a great reputation for its significant school of philosophy whose main representatives Parmenides and Xenon were the intellectual pioneers of the classical Greek philosophy of Plato and Aristotle; among other things, they taught the spherical shape of the earth.

Prices are valid per week and for the number of persons given in brackets including bed linen, towels and final cleaning. Possible costs for heating are charged on the spot according to use.
