100 m to the splendid sandy beach of Calanca and only a few paces to the small shops in the centro storico: One who does not want to walk long distances and is looking for a well-tended, friendly ambience, will find in Villa Maricarmen his own personal holiday paradise in the picturesque fishing village of Marina di Camerota.
Just finished in the spring of 2006, the 4 holiday apartments are situated in a garden, surrounded by the green of ancient olive trees at the end of a scarcely frequented cul-de-sac.
A small path takes you directly from the premises of Villa Maricarmen to the sandy Calanca beach. Waterfreaks can go for swimming either in the nearby sea or in the swimming pool with sun terrace, open for all guests of the Villa (in common use with Villa Torre delle Viole). New from 2010 on: the complex has been expanded to include a sauna and a fitness room (see picture gallery).
Fully relaxed and “a piedi”, you can discover the Italian “dolce vita” here. Fetching fresh bread at the baker’s in the morning, spending the forenoon idling at the beach, then indulging into a book in the shade of the trees around Villa Maricarmen, take a swimm in the pool and at night submerging into the Southern Italian flair on the village piazza: this is pure holiday feeling!!
Apart from her ideal location, the holiday apartments of Villa Maricarmen are attractive due to their well thought-out layout and their comfortable interior.
Each apartment has its own separate entrance. In your holiday apartment, you are living on two floors.
On the raised ground floor you find the tastefully and classily furnished kitchen-cum-living room (with satellite TV and English channels).
The couch is at the same time a sleeping possibility for two people.
Your new bathroom is equipped with shower/bidet/WC.
From the kitchen-cum-living room you access your own roofed balcony, party with lateral sea view and in the middle of the green. Where else can you better have breakfast or end your vacation day with a glass of wine?
You reach the upper floor by a stairway. Well-tended rattan furniture dominates the interior of the double and the single bedrooms.
Due to the built-in central heating, Villa Maricarmen can also be recommended for a stay in the winter.
Via W-LAN you have access to the internet in each apartment.
The guests have a washing machine at their common disposal.
The car park is situated within the fenced estate.
On the ground floor of Villa Maricarmen, there are four small studios which the owners normally rent out only in July and August.
Our tip: Hiking from the sandy Calanca beach to further charming bathing bays, with the marvellous Capo Palinuro in sight!

Prices per week are valid for the number of persons given in brackets and incl. bed linen, towels and final cleaning (only for Cilentano guests). Heating (central heating) will be charged on the spot at cost price. A deposit of 100 Euro is to be handed over on the spot.
Booking in July and August is only possible from Sunday to Sunday. During the other months exceptions are possible on demand.
Pool open: 05.05. - 21.10.2012 (depending on the weather).
Sauna and fitness room: at an extra charge.
Umbrellas and deck chairs on sandy Calanca Beach can be rented from the owners.
Transfer from/to the train station in Centola is possible at an extra charge.
