Whoever drives up the Viale, a cul-de-sac, to family La Marca's premises believes to be escaping civilisation and getting real close to nature.
The Azienda opens upon a fantastic view of the sea and in case of high visibility even of the Amalfi coast lying opposite and of Capri. The sandy beach at one of cleanest coastal stretches in Europe, which has been awarded the "Bandiera Blu d'Europa", is about one kilometre off.
The famous small town of Castellabate, UNESCO World Heritage and setting for the movie „Willkommen im Süden“, is just within reach. Spend holidays in the midst of nature at Agriturismo Sant'Andrea with your whole family, but also enjoy bathing and cultural highlights!
The premises include an approximately 160,000 square metre olive grove, ideally suited for extensive walks under shady trees. Using traditional methods, the enterprise produces its own olive oil, which is the base of the meanwhile world-famous "dieta mediterranea". The country estate also includes a cheese dairy, a vineyard and a vegetable garden.
For children there's a special attraction – the animals which are kept in the stables above the estate and which you can admire and pet at close range.
Feast your way to health at Agriturismo Sant Andrea! Here, you come to enjoy homemade Cilento delicacies. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, meals are always prepared with love and care and, above all, using only homemade and home-grown products. Due to the owners' hospitality and the authenticity of nature your stay at the Azienda will be a thoroughly relaxing and agreeable experience.
Why don't you savour a menu, for example, composed of delicious antipasti with mozzarella, homemade salami and vegetables, followed by a „primo piatto“ of pasta with tomato-ricotta-sugo. For the main course, one might recommend a lamb dish with fresh salads. And in the end, enjoy a typically Italian „caffè“ on the terrace and surrounded by the untouched nature of Southern Italy.
The accommodations: Agriturismo Sant Andrea houses thirteen holiday apartments with terrace as well as eight guest rooms, partly with balcony or sea view.
The apartments chosen for our guests, located in a separate two-storey annex, have got two bedrooms, a double and a twin, a bathroom with shower and WC and a kitchen-cum-living room.
Your private terrace is a wonderful place to relax on, maybe with a glass of wine and a good book or in a cheerful family get-together.
The guest rooms, located above the main building in a renovated two-storey dependance, offer bathroom (shower, WC), double bed, air conditioning, and, if necessary, two extra beds. Although the rooms reflect the rustic country style, they lack neither comfort nor cosiness.
For excursions into the environs, you can choose among numerous hiking tours, for example, the hiking tour „Castellabate and Santa Maria“: After about 2 km of country road, you arrive at the turn-off to Castellabate. From there, old mule tracks take you to Castellabate, the gorgeous medieval town. A large panorama terrace opens upon a view of rare beauty: the whole Cilento coast and, depending on the weather, the Amalfi coast and Capri. It is with regard to visibility conditions that you should go on this tour either early in the morning or shortly before sunset.
It is about half an hour by car to the famous Greek temples at Paestum and a day trip to the ancient town of Pompeii.
At the sandy beach about one kilometre off, you can rent sunbeds and sunshades.
