It is right in the heart of Pisciotta’s labyrinthine terraced alleys that you step through a medieval entrance into a modernized apartment – Casa Raffaele.
The roundabout 75 m² apartment is located on the 1st floor of the old palazzo. It includes three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, a sea view balcony and a roof terrace, which offers a wonderful view of the sea and the Cape of Palinuro, too.
The largest bedroom is furnished with a double bed as well as a children’s cot. It is bright and spacious and opens upon a small balcony, from where you might enjoy the picturesque view of the blue sea and the green mountain slopes right after getting up in the morning.
One of the other two bedrooms is a twin, the third bedroom is a single.
The spacious and well-tended bathroom includes a masonry shower cabin, WC, bidet and a washing machine.
The separate kitchen of Casa Raffaele has a fitted kitchen, a fireside as well as a pass-through to the roof terrace, which is very convenient. The living room, which opens onto the roof terrace as well as into the kitchen, is furnished with a small sofa, a dining table and 4 chairs as well as a TV.
The furnished roof terrace offers a great view across the sea, along the coastline as far as prominent Capo Palinuro. And should you prefer some shade in between, you need only extend the awning.
Casa Raffaele is furnished with air conditioning with integrated heating system.
On the coastal road from Palinuro to Velia, the medieval village of Pisciotta is picturesquely situated on a hill above the Mediterranean Sea.
In the narrow stepped alleys with their palazzi and houses dating from the 16th century, you experience the unique atmosphere of authentic Southern Italian village life. You see men sitting in front of the bar playing cards, women chatting in the piazza and children playing football in the square for a short while after school.
In spite of its closeness to the sea, Pisciotta has remained largely untouched by tourism. Centuries-old customs and traditions have been preserved and are still kept alive today. It is its special atmosphere which, over the years, has drawn and stills draws many of our guests back to this small hill-top village.
Casa Raffaele is located in the historic center of Pisciotta. The village piazza with grocery stores and bars is within easy walking distance. A cash dispenser and the post office are not far off either.
It is only about 150 m from the holiday apartment to Ristorante-Pizzeria "Tre Gufi", which is located below the medieval palazzo and at the highest point of the village. The restaurant’s large terrace offers a fantastic view of the sea, so sit down enjoy the view and a delicious meal.
There are two ways to get to the beach of Marina di Pisciotta: either 1 km along a foot path or 3 km along the road.
Pisciotta’s medieval terraced alleys are free of traffic, neither cars nor motorcycles can pass through – and no traffic noise means more peace and quiet!
Sufficient parking spaces and lots are found around the center (ca. 150 to 200 m from the apartment).
Nearest train station: Pisciotta-Palinuro (ca. 4 km).
